The first DOA Forum took place in December 8 – 9, 2017, in Beijing, China. It was jointly organized by ATSD in Hong Kong and the MPA Coalition in China to facilitate discussions and experience exchanges in DOA based application development. It also show-cased some of the latest DOA based applications, as well as the best practices of DOA application standards under development.

Besides some general sessions about the DOA and handle technology, here are the three major areas focused at the Forum:

1. Advancements in DOA/handle applications, and lessons & experiences learned
2. Recommendations, best practices and software utilities supporting the use of DOA/Handle technology
3. Development of national service framework and platforms to support the use of DOA/Handle technology for Industrial Internet

Most MPAs around the world and some countries interested in DOA technology came to attend the Forum and shared their experiences and expectations at the meeting as well.
